17 февраля в библиотеке №3 «Маяк» состоялся круглый стол, посвященный открытию Центра национальных культур.
Проект «Мы-сограждане», целью которого является объединение национальных диаспор в их культурном наследии, сохранение единства и единоправия конфессий. Реализация проекта начата в конце прошлого года, на первом собрании круглого стола были выдвинуты вопросы, посвященные проблемам толерантного отношения к другим культурам.
Не случайно базой для создания центра была выбрана библиотека, так как, именно, она является хранителем и продолжателем традиций и культуры в целом.
Первый месяц (январь) был объявлен месяцем татарской культуры. На данный момент в библиотеке представлена выставка кукол и национального быта, организованная автономией татар города Кирова, удмуртской общиной (представленной областным национально-культурным центром, находящимся в д.Святозарево Слободского района), а также фабрикой «Весна».
Запланированы мероприятия по развитию самобытности культур. Продолжается комплектование фонда библиотеки на удмуртском, марийском и на татарском языках.
На встрече присутствовали представители дагестанской, еврейской , удмуртской, армянской (римско-католический приход), а также татарской общины. Были приглашены начальник управления культуры г.Кирова Семакова Наталья Юрьевна, Фатеев Анатолий Николаевич.
С созданием центра появляется возможность поддержания и сохранения самобытности и идентичности культур, а также личностное (индивидуальное, человеческое) сохранение прав на культуру, на национальный язык и традиции каждого народа, ведь нация которая теряет свою самобытность — теряется и ассимилируется, приводя к ее исчезновению.
