4 июля в Кирове в 41 комплексе Нововятска прошел очередной городской Сабантуй. Праздник проходит уже третий год подряд и теперь можно говорить с уверенностью, что для Кирова он становится традиционным. Его ждут и к нему готовятся.
Как и везде Сабантуй становится поводом для встречи друзей и родни. Гости приезжают из Кильмезского, Советского, Немского и других районов области.
Интересно, что многих участников и гостей сабантуя мы уже узнаем, несмотря на то, видим только раз в год. Особенно запоминаются дети, потому что они с радостью и восторгом участвуют во всех конкурсах. И уже не важно, какой национальности тот, с кем ты соревнуешься, или работаешь в одной команде. Важен азарт и веселье состязания.
Проводились традиционные состязания: бег, бег в мешках, с коромыслом, бой мешками на буме, бой горшков, перетягивание палки, каната, срезание подарков…
Как всегда больше всего зрителей собрал куреш. Абсолютным батыром в этом году стал 20-летний Александр Печеницин, борец грекоримского стиля. Батыром в категории «Юноши» стал Илья Кочергин (12 лет) и в категории «Ветераны» — М.П. Шульгин (48 лет)
Вопреки прогнозам погоды, на землю майдана упало всего несколько капель дождя, хотя в остальных районах города прошли ливни, а кое-где даже град. Поэтому гостей в этом году было не так много, как ожидалось, и сабантуй закончился немного раньше, чем обычно.
Организаторами сабантуя в этом году были управление по делам молодежи, национальная культурная автономия татар г. Кирова, Кировская региональная общественная организация татар «ЯШЬЛЕК» (Молодость), центр изучения детского творчества с изучением прикладной экономики г. Кирова, АНО «Артгармония» и Компания «Яркий Город».
