17 апреля в Соборной Мечети г. Иваново прошла встреча представителей всех муниципальных районов и администрации города, курирующих работу с религиозными и национальными объединениями. В результате был намечен план работы по укреплению мира и взаимоотношений народов различных вероисповеданий.
Поводом для встречи лиц, ответственных за работу по укреплению межнационального и межрелигиозного мира, стал поджег мечети в городе Шуя Ивановской области. Местная община приняла решение не восстанавливать сгоревший деревянный храм, а строить новый из кирпича.
Лидер мусульман Ивановской области был направлен на встречу с мэром г. Шуя Александром Масловым и председателем Городской Думы Евгением Корзеневым, для того, чтобы согласовать с ними строительство мечети. Глава г. Шуи выразил свою озабоченность случившимся и пообещал оказать помощь и содействие в строительстве мечети.
13 апреля в Иваново состоялся благотворительный концерт при поддержке народной артистки России и Республики Татарстан Наили Фатеховой, все вырученные средства которого были направлены на строительство мечети.
На благотворительный концерт были приглашены все первые лица города, области и лидеры всех диаспор. На концерт пришли не только мусульмане, но и люди других вероисповеданий, тем самым они выразили солидарность в том, что взаимоотношения между людьми разной национальности и веры должны строиться на взаимоуважении и взаимопонимании. Все участники и организаторы были удостоены благодарственными письмами и ценными подарками.
Поддержку мероприятию оказали Совет Муфтиев России, Мусульманское религиозное объединение Ивановской области, Национально-культурная автономия татар Ивановской области, Продюсерский центр «РУХ» и другие организации.
